Today's photo is from Laleh Samii, Department of Physics, who writes:

This is a photo of a pond in the middle of the yard of my grandparents' place in Tabas, Iran. This is where the family gathers in the afternoons. It reminds me of all the happy memories of back home, sitting around, chatting, laughing, playing etc.... This photo gives me a warm feeling of home when I am far from home.

The photo below was taken in a dried river bed in Gurid, Iran. This is one of the things that I miss the most in Canada, building a fire and making delicious "fire-y tea" (this is what I call it!)
