SFU Alerts

November 14, 2011

As we enter winter, it’s a good idea to stay informed about changing weather conditions and possible university closures.

The university offers an SFU Alerts notification system which will notify you via text messages, instant messages, email or phone calls.

To get started, login to the Student Information System (for students), or myInfo (for faculty and staff).

During an urgent situation, SFU Alerts will begin cycling through your contact information, beginning with a text message to your cell so that you’ll stay informed wherever you may be.

Additional tips: Here’s a link to the university’s webcams so that you can keep an eye on road conditions before you head out to the Burnaby campus. And of course, SFU's Road Conditions page is updated frequently when there's snow on the ground.
