Karen Robson Receives MBA and Dean's Convocation Medal
Throughout her MBA, Ms. Robson maintained status on the MBA Honour Roll and graduated with an impressive 4.08 CPGA.
She was also a member of Net Impact, and participated in both the MBA Games and in SFU's gold-medal winning Corporate Champions Dodgeball Team. She successfully completed her internship at the Vancouver Board of Trade while continuing to help the MBA program as an interviewer for incoming applicants and as a TA and marker.
Ms. Robson has always been a active participant in social issues; before coming to SFU she volunteered with orphans in Ngong, Kenya and volunteered at Vancouver's Harbour Light Centre where she assisted homeless in the downtown eastside. Ms. Robson incorporated her drive to create positive change into her MBA coursework; as part of an MBA team project, Ms. Robson and her team raised almost $9,000 to build a clean water well in Sierra Leone.
The Chair of the MBA program refers to Ms. Robson as one of their best student ambassadors and a valuable member of the Beedie Community.
On behalf of SFU, we congratulate Karen Robson on her outstanding achievements which are being recognized by her being awarded the Dean of Graduate Studies Convocation Medal as SFU's most outstanding graduate student from the Beedie School of Business.
