We're sharing the contest entries from our Secret Spots & First Impressions grad student photo competition.

These photos are from Bicram Rijal, Department of Sociology & Anthropology, who writes:

Photo 1:
This close-up photo was taken on the roof of West Mall Center at Burnaby Campus. For me, walking through the roof is a different experience than walking through the 2nd or 3rd floor of the building as I can see beautiful plants/flowers like this, as well as  part of the city of Vancouver.

Photo 2:
The photo, taken at English Bay, is from Celebration of Light Festival, 2012. It is one of my most wonderful experiences in Vancouver. For those who have not yet been to this, don't miss it next year.

Photo 3
This photo of the city of Vancouver, with Mt. Rainier in the background, was taken from Lighthouse Park. It's worth going to the park in the beautiful weather and seeing Vancouver's different parts.
