DIRECTIONS: Explorations in Action, Leadership and Change (NEW!)

Beginning this October, DIRECTIONS is a new suite of personal and professional development programs designed for students interested in maximizing their potential and leveraging their university experience towards professional and leadership opportunities.

Within DIRECTIONS, there are three sequential programs:

  1. EXPLORE,
  2. ACT, and
  3. LEAD, which will give students a better understanding of who they are and how to work effectively in teams.

Participants will learn about self-awareness, communication skills and group dynamics and will gain practical experience through an campus apprenticeship with staff mentors as well as on campus volunteer/service learning opportunities.

Note: The prerequisite for this program for Master's students is successful completion of Passport to Leadership (or an equivalent program such as Emerging Graduate Leaders).  Interested PhD students should email involved@sfu.ca to discuss this prerequisite.
