Get to know other SFU postdoctoral fellows at SFU's first BBQ social for Postdocs!

The week of September 16--20, 2013, is National Postdoc Appreciation Week and is celebrated across Canada and the US. The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) started National Postdoc Appreciation Week four years ago to create awareness of and recognize the contributions that Postdocs make to research.

The Office of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Fellows would like to demonstrate this appreciation by hosting a BBQ lunch on Thursday, September 19th between 12:00pm and 2:00pm for all SFU postdoctoral fellows. This is an opportunity to network and meet other SFU Postdocs from the 3 campuses and various other research sites.

Wade Parkhouse, Dean of Graduate Studies, will be on hand to welcome and thank SFU's Postdocs for their hard work.  We will also introduce you to Mario Jardon, SFU's Postdoctoral representative to CAPS (the Canadian Association of Postdoctoral Scholars), who will share with you plans to improve communication amongst SFU's postdoctoral community.

We look forward to seeing you over food and drinks!

For catering purposes, please register by September 13, 2013https://websurvey.sfu.ca/cgi-bin/WebObjects/WebSurvey.woa/wa/survey?148611491
