SFPIRG invites you to gain leadership, research and community development skills by helping to create a cross-university mining industry institute in partnership with UBC's Social Justice Centre.

A meeting to kick-off this project will take place on Jan 23, 2014, 12:30PM to 2:30PM, at MBC2290 (past the copy centre), SFU Burnaby Campus.

The focus of this meeting will be to discuss the new Mining Institute being developed by SFU & UBC (the Canadian International Resources Development Institute), as well as broader ethical implications associated with the mining industry.

A light lunch will be served.
