The School for International Studies at Simon Fraser University invites applications for the Simons Research Fellow in Dialogue on International Law and Human Security (SRF) for the 2015–2016 academic year (September 1–August 30).

The SRF will be expected to participate in School activities during the term of their appointment, will deliver at least one presentation of their work to the School, and will undertake limited teaching responsibilities, not limited to guest lectures, with the possibility that they might teach one undergraduate course in their area of expertise.

The Fellow will also contribute to the organization of a workshop in the Spring 2016 term.

Compensation for the SRF is $40,000 CDN. Selection of the SRF will be based on their qualifications in the areas of International Law and Human Security, their highest degree awarded, and the nature of the work they propose to undertake during the duration of the award.

Application deadline is March 23, 2015. Please e-mail inquiries and applications to the attention of Professor Alexander Dawson at intst@sfu.ca. Applications should consist of a cover letter (including detailed research proposal), graduate transcripts, a cv, and three letters of recommendation.
