SFU's Postdoctoral Research Day: an Exhibition of Research Excellence

SFU's Postdoctoral Fellows Association would like to invite the research community to a day of research excellence that showcases the research contributions of SFU's postdoctoral fellows. Postdoctoral fellows, faculty members, graduate students and other members of the university research community are invited to attend.

May 20, 2015 , 8:30 am–6 pm
IRMACS Theatre and Atrium, ASB 10900, Burnaby campus

All SFU Postdoctoral Fellows are invited to submit proposals. This will be a fantastic opportunity to share your research, meet peers and increase the visibility of the role of SFU's Postdoctoral Fellows. This event aligns with one of SFU Strategic Research Plan's major objectives: to recruit and retain outstanding research fellows.

The day will include

  • Talks and poster-type presentations of current research being performed by SFU Postdoctoral Fellows
  • Keynote speakers presenting on career strategies for successful careers in industry and academia
  • Monetary awards and recognition for outstanding contributions by postdoctoral presenters
  • The day will wrap up with a social in the Highland Pub
