External Award: Google SVA Scholarship

Google has established the SVA Scholarship in association with Student Veterans of America. This is an award of up to $10,000USD for student veterans who are pursuing degrees in computer science in the US, and also includes an invitation to attend the Google Scholars' Retreat in Summer 2016.

To be eligible, students must:
  • Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student for 2015-2016
  • Intend to be enrolled or accepted as a full-time student at a university in the US for 2016-2017 school year
  • Maintain a strong academic performance
  • Be pursuing a computer science or computer engineering degree or something closely related
  • Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a passion for computer science and technology
  • Be a current student veteran or a student on Active Duty
  • Have received an honorable discharge or be in good standing with their branch of services.
Deadline: Monday, November 2, 2015
