The Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire (IODE) War Memorial Scholarship is a major external award granted to 5 graduate students nationally every year in honour of the memory of the First World War. The foundation began in 1900 with scholarships being funded and awarded by the federal government annually since 1920 to support the children of soldiers in pursuing university education.

The value of the award is $15,000 and is based on academic merit, career aspirations, and personal character.

SFU's recipient is Stefanie Rezansoff, a PhD student in Health Sciences whose research is focused on antipsychotic medication. No SFU student has won a major IODE award for nearly 4 years.

The Office of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Fellows Congratulates Stefanie on her accomplishment.

Stefanie was also previously awarded with the Dean's Convocation Medal when she completed her MSc at SFU.
