Are you a veteral of being a TA/TM in your department? Why not pass on everything you've learned to those new folks coming in for Spring semester!

The 20th Annual Spring TA/TM Day: The Teaching Orientation Program is taking place at the beginning of January. While the whole-day event is for both new and experienced TAs and TMs, workshops are held for the new folks. As a Workshop Leader, you would need to prepare the entire workshop (about 75 minutes long), and a planning meeting prior to the event.

There are a number of ideas that could be presented: Improving students' writing skills, navigating Canvas, helping students in distress, voice and presentation skills, diversity in the classroom. (The website has even more ideas for you!)

Workshop leaders will be paid the current GTA2 hourly rate.

Workshop submissions are via the website, so take a look and get your proposal together right away!

Proposal Deadline: Friday, October 9, 2015

Event Date: Friday, January 8, 2016 8:30AM - 4:00PM
