The Fulbright Canada awards serve to facilitate an "educational exchange between Canada and the United States". They have a number of awards on offer for both Canadian and American students.

Their traditional Fulbright award is for all disciplines and gives $15,000USD to cover one academic year for the successful students at any college, university, think tank or government agency in the US. If not at a university, the award can be taken as a research award, rather than a formal enrollment award.

Fulbright "encourages bi-national collaborative research and thoughtful public debate on topics that reflect ehh broad range of contemporary issues relevant to Canada, the United States and the relationship between the two countries." They are open to all disciplines, but do mention that they are eager to see and support students working in the humanities, communications and culture, Canadian-American relations, contemporary public policy, culture and the environment, law, indigenous issues and pure and applied sciences.

Deadline is November 15, 2015. Check out the website for more details and to apply.
