If you've got an idea of how to improve student life for graduate students, and want to take on a leadership role on campus, take a look at the SPICES grant offered by the Graduate Student Society and the Office of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Fellows.

We're looking for ideas with a broad, interdisciplinary appeal, and could take place in one afternoon or over the course of a year. These grants could be anywhere from $1000, and even up to $5000. The grant will cover things like guest speakers, room rentals and catering and other reasonable expenses.

Submit a 1-2 page statement of interest to gradstudies@sfu.ca or drop it off at the Grad Studies office at MBC1100. Applications will be reviewed throughout the year, on a rolling basis. If selected, we will work with you to finetune your project and make it a reality. More information is on our website!
