TSSU Membership Childcare Fund

If you are a TSSU member with children under the age of 13 (or over 13 in the case of special needs) you may be eligible to receive an award from the TSSU Member Childcare Fund.

Upcoming Information sessions
Four brief information sessions will be held at the end of May.

Burnaby, AQ 5051: May 24
9:30–10:30 am or 1:30–2:30 pm

Vancouver, HC 1510: May 26
10:30–11:30 am or 1:30–2:30 pm

Disbursement
Students will receive disbursements as a bursary deposited into their student account. Non-students will receive disbursements as taxable income facilitated by SFU’s payroll system. Subject to available funds, the rates of disbursement for 2016 (based off SFU’s childcare society rates) are:

Age / Disbursement per child for 1 semester
0-36 months / $1260
3-5 years / $895
5-8 years / $455
8-12 years / $455

    Nominations are now being accepted for the Nora and Ted Sterling Prize in Support of Controversy. The prize is awarded annually for work that presents new daring and creative ways of looking at the world. Submit nominations for consideration by February 15, 2018.
