Volunteer Posting: Avenues of Change - Early Years Literacy and Health Promotion Ambassadors

June 13, 2016

Avenues of Change is a project funded by the United Way of the Lower Mainland. It is an initiative aimed at ensuring that young children (age 0-6) have what they need in order to thrive before starting school. This initiative involves a variety of community partners including the City of Surrey, DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society, Fraser Health Authority, the Ministry of Children and Family Development, Surrey School District, Surrey Libraries and many more.

They are currently looking for volunteers to be Early Years Literacy and Health Promotion Peer Ambassadors to connect with families and help educate around the topics of literacy, social skills, health and nutrition.

Interested volunteers can send an email to Trisha Dulku ( tdulku@sfu.ca ) with a brief summary of yourself: name, program (and year), any relevant previous experience or training and your contact information.

Deadline: Ongoing
