External Award: Hubble Fellowships

Recent postdoctoral scientists who are conducting research related to Cosmic Origins or any of NASA's goals addressed by missions in that area, including the Hubble Space Telescope, Spitzer Space Telescope, Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA), the Herschel Space Observatory and the James Webb Space Telescope.

Support is provided for up to three years. "The initial annual stipend for a Hubble Fellow is comparable to that of other Prize Fellowships and is subject to annual review and adjustment. In addition, the Hubble Fellow can receive health insurance, relocation costs, and support for travel, computing services, publications, and other direct research costs."

There will be up to 17 Fellowships awarded for 2017.

Applicants must have received their PhD or equivalent in 2014 or later.
