Job Posting: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Gastroenterology

A postdoctoral position is available to join a research group headed by Dr. Isabella Tai, Associate Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, University of British Columbia and Senior Scientist at the Genome Sciences Centre, BCCA.

Current projects in the laboratory revolve around improving our understanding of the mechanisms involved in the development of chemotherapy resistance and metastasis in gastrointestinal cancers, and epigenetics in hepatocellular cancers as well, in identifying potential markers and level of risk associated with the development of colorectal cancer.  The goal is to develop either novel therapeutic targets for GI cancer treatment or novel screening tools for diagnosis. 

  • Minimal requirement: PhD or equivalent degree
  • Duration: 3 years
  • Deadline: Until filled

Experience in molecular biology, cell biology, tissue culture and animal tumor models, is preferable. The Univeristy of British Columbia hires on the basis of merit and is committed to employment equity.  We encourage all qualified persons to apply.  However, Canadians and permanent residents of Canada will be given priority.
