Job Posting: Research Facilitator at Lakehead University

The Office of Research Services at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay campus is looking for a Research Facilitator to facilitate research application success rates in the natural sciences, engineering, biomedical, and clinical/health research areas at the University. 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the formation of interdisciplinary teams
  • Research appropriate funding opportunities
  • Support the development of collaborative research proposals (by contributing background research, writing, copy editing, and liaising with funding partners)
  • Convey the University‚Äôs research strengths to various stakeholders 
  • Lead grantwriting workshops

Requirements:

  • Master's degree (PhD would be an asset)
  • 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in a post-secondary environment
  • Interpersonal, writing, and communication skills
  • Expertise in coaching, mentoring and delivering professional development workshops
  • Knowledge of project management principles, research protocols, and grantwriting
This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of $56,153.11 to $70,191.13.
