Volunteer Posting: Student Sustainability Educators

Student Sustainability Educators are needed to assist in promoting and monitoring SFU’s Zero Waste Initiative at the start of the fall semester. Educators will be auditing and demonstrating how to use the new four-stream waste stations in person through a variety of methods, including fun and engaging games and activities.

The time committment for this position is six 2-hour shifts in the first two weeks of September as well as attending the Welcome Day BBQ.

A $150 honourarium will be provided upon completion.

Requirements and Availability:

  • must be a current SFU student or recent graduate
  • must have a SIN number
  • must be available at least 3 days a week from 12:30 to 2:30pm
  • must be able to attend in-person training at the Burnaby campus on August 30
  • must be able to attend the Burnaby Welcome Day BBQ on August 31 from 11am to 2pm
