September 22, 2017

Join the Inter-University Consortium or Political and Social Research (ICPSR) for a free one hour webinar on assessing disclosure risk. This session will take place on September 27, 2017 from 11:30am-12:30pm.

Disclosure refers to the unauthorized release of information about an individual or organization. Researchers who work with human participants, proprietary or other sensitive information need to be aware of disclosure risk--especially when preparing data for sharing and re-use.

This webinar, presented by John E. Marcotte, will describe concepts in disclosure including:

  • sensitivity (health information, drug use, criminal activity, business intelligence)
  • how data can be re-mediated to reduce disclosure risk
  • how to provide safe access to data which has disclosure risk
