External Award: Partnership Engage Grants

Partnership Engage Grants through the Government of Canada's Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council provide short-term support for partnered research activities. Proposals may involve any discipline, thematic area, approach or subject area. Grants range from $7000-$25000 over a 1-year period. 

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be affiliated with an eligible Canadian postsecondary institution at the time of application.
  • Postdoctoral researchers are eligible to be applicants if they have formally established an affiliation with an eligible institution at the time of application, and maintain such an affiliation for the duration of the grant period.
  • Canadian co-applicants may be affiliated with a postsecondary institutions; not-for-profit organizations; philanthropic foundations; think tanks; and municipal, territorial or provincial governments. 
  • International co-applicants must be affiliated with a postsecondary institution.

There are four application deadlines a year for this grant: September 15, December 15, March 15 and June 15. To apply for the next available funding period, register and submit all necessary information as laid out on the application page by December 15, 2017.
