The Institute of Gender and Health (IGH) has offered several funding opportunities.

Travel award – Joint meeting of the Organization for the Study of Sex Differences and the International Society of Gender Medicine 2019

The Institute of Gender and Health (IGH) has launched travel awards for graduate and postdoctoral trainees to participate in the second joint meeting of the Organization for the Study of Sex Differences (OSSD) and the International Society of Gender Medicine (IGM).

Travel award winners will have the opportunity to engage with international experts in the field of sex and gender science in Washington DC, May 5-8, 2019. The meeting will highlight the latest research and policy around sex differences in physiology and disease.

Team Grants: Transitions in Care

This funding opportunity will support inter-disciplinary teams to implement, evaluate, spread and scale pragmatic solutions to problems associated with transitions in care from a clinical, health care or health system perspective. Funding is available to support projects that are relevant to individuals who identify as transgender and individuals living with an intersex condition.

  • Application deadline: January 24, 2019
  • Anticipate Notice of Decision: May 15, 2019
  • Funding Start Date: April 1, 2019

Operating Grant: Transitions in Care - Evaluation Grants

This competition will support the evaluation of implemented interventions, tools, practices, policies, technologies, programs and/or other solutions that address transitions in care challenges. Funding is available to support populations at increased risk of adverse transition outcomes, including individuals who identify as transgender and individuals with an intersex condition.

  • Application deadline: February 5, 2019
  • Anticipate Notice of Decision: May 22, 2019
  • Funding Start Date: April 1, 2019
