Embark is a student-led not-for-profit society based out of Simon Fraser University. We empower our 30,000+ undergraduate and graduate student members to lead sustainable change through grants, training, and engagement. Embark is creating a sustainable future through student leadership, advocacy, and capacity building within the SFU campus community.
They run a Learning Garden located on the south side of TASC1 on Burnaby campus, which acts as a student-centred food-growing and learning space.
They also have a food recovery program, Food Rescue, where they collect healthy and good produce deemed as surplus and un-salable by food industry standards and redistribute it to the university community.
