Minor in Development and Sustainability
Undergraduate students are invited to add this minor (effective September 2011) to their degree to explore various aspects of sustainability that arise from the complex relationship between development and environment, including discussion of practice and policy issues in relation to problem-solving and examination of thematic areas at various scales (from local to global) that enhance quality of life.
Requirements
- Completion of 19 units from prescribed courses; this includes DEVS 201-3 and DEVS 401-4 plus and additional 12 units of upper division courses drawn from the list of approved courses.
- Entry to this program is on a competitive basis; a CGPA of 2.75 or higher is required, as is completion of at least 30 units (either at SFU or through transfer). To declare, please email the academic advisor (contact below).
