Imagine BC Year One Consensus Statement [1MB | PDF format]
On October 24–27, 2004, Imagine BC delegates gathered to explore what kind of future they envision for the province in the next 30 years. Encouraged to think long term, beyond today's headlines and partisan interests, they talked about whether there is such a thing as British Columbian culture, how they value economic prosperity, environmental sustainability and healthy communities in the long term, and identified some necessary choices that should be made today in order to realize a future. Their Consensus Statement is intended to invite further dialogue and exploration of the future of BC and to begin to set a course for a series of dialogues involving as many British Columbians as possible over the years to come.
