The Georgia Straight has featured a project from the spring CityStudio cohort that is helping Vancouver to meet its Greenest City 2020 sustainability goals. Students Emily Louie, Kevin Chan, Ryan Trasolini, and Andrea Sanchez have now implemented two public bike repair stations in partnership with the City of Vancouver, Lions Club, and Urban Racks.

“ 'We hope having bike repair stations will be a common feature offered to cyclists as an amenity to encourage them to use their bikes more often,' Sanchez told the Straight by phone...”

CityStudio was co-founded by SFU Centre for Dialogue faculty member Janet Moore and Emily Carr University faculty member Duane Elverum, and is now completing its second year. The spring studio course, Semester in the City, is run as part of SFU's Semester in Dialogue program.
