Critical Response Process Workshop:
Tools for giving and receiving artistic critique
If you have a creative work currently under construction, or frequently critique the work of others, this is the place for you.
Get useful feedback on anything you make, from dance to dessert. Learn to nurture talent, appreciate art and improve your creative work. Join us for a Critical Response Process workshop led by international choreographer and educator Liz Lerman.
You’ll learn about the value of observation, neutral inquiry and how to provide measured opinions, all rooted in a lively, interactive afternoon. Be empowered through your work and take part in supportive dialogue with peers, students and mentors in the artistic community.

With SFU’s 2009 Blaney Award recipient, Liz Lerman.
Liz Lerman was described by the Washington Post as “the source of an epochal revolution in the scope and purposes of dance art.” Her critical response process is a widely recognized method that nurtures the development of artistic works-in-progress through a four step, facilitated dialogue between artists, peers and audiences. Developed almost 15 years ago, the Process has been embraced by artmakers, educators, theatre directors, dance departments, orchestras, museums and more.
The space for this event has been generously provided
