Final Checklist
- Ensure that all graphics and images are in their final size, 100% at 300dpi
- Ensure that your pictures or scanned images are in CMYK format
- Rotate, scale and edit images and graphics before placing them in InDesign
- Image file formats should be EPS or TIFF (not JPEG or TIFF with LZW compression)
- Spellcheck your document
- Convert all locally stylized fonts and mixed font types to outlines
- Include list of Pantone Spot colours used (Use Output Preview in Adobe Acrobat)
- Use transparency flattener at high resolution
- Remove trapping (allow printer to do this)
- Set bleeds to minimum of 0.125 inches (3mm)
- Include bleed and slug areas in PDF
- Prepare a simple mockup to give Document Solutions as a finished example
- Identify the platform and application that you used to create the file
- Include any additional instructions or specifications you feel necessary to ensure your intentions are understood
- Allow for reasonable turnaround times
