Hazardous natural processes pose a threat to Canadians and their infrastructure. This session brings together researchers working on a broad spectrum of natural hazards, including earthquakes, tsunami, volcanic eruptions, landslides, floods, and severe storms, in order to showcase recent developments in hazard studies. The session also includes papers on societal vulnerability to natural hazards and strategies for reducing risk. |
