Research Interests

Dr. Abbassi’s research focuses on active tectonics of Iran in general. His current research focuses on seismically active faults in Big Tehran and surrounding area. He is interested in Quaternary alluvial deposits along Alborz Mountain (IRAN) and their related faulting process. He also has interests in faulting kinematics in Quaternary deposits and related stress history and evolution.
