Earth Sciences' Field Schools

SFU Earth Sciences' prides itself on being able to provide a wide range of educational experiences over the course of time a student spends within our program. A critical component of your experience in our program is related to the field-based courses and trips which form an important opportunity to take lessons learned in the classrom and apply them in the "real world".

In addition to the numerous EASC courses which offer 1 - 4 day field trips, the department has four "Field School" courses which not only enhance our students' learning and experience, but tend to be the focus of their most memorable moments within our program. Field school courses are offered in the 2nd (EASC 206), 3rd (EASC 306), and 4th (EASC 406 and 416) years of study.
