Open Source Education Project

Every year hundreds of useful educational interventions (e.g. lesson plans, learning objects, etc.) are developed by students in teacher preparation programs. Simon Fraser University aims to become a world leader in the collection and dissemination of open-source interventions by developing a system in which interventions are peer reviewed, recognized with awards, and discussed and evaluated in an on-line community to provide feedback and share experiences.

The Open Source Education Project will create online, open source repository of peer-reviewed educational interventions. This online platform will also provide a forum to evaluate and provide feedback on the use of various interventions. While similar resources are available, many require fees that make them inaccessible.
