Research Interests

My research focuses on the examination of inclusive practices.  Within my work, inclusion refers to the concept of including all peoples (regardless of the type or severity of any perception of difference) in all aspects of life. My research examines inclusion from the perspectives of the individual child (or adult), the family, and the community through a 'systems' lens. I also focus my work on discoveries with practical applications, thus I am equally interested in findings that may impact one, as much as studies that may impact many. My current work focuses on examining the educational experiences of children with dis/abilities (and their families) within forced migration/refugee contexts.
