I am many things however, most importantly I am the father of my amazing twin daughters. I am also a secondary school teacher and a lifelong learner. I am a former member of the SFU Senate and a strong believer in volunteerism and giving my time and energy to make my home community a better place.
Please tell us how you first discovered your program.
Marlowe Irvine came to Burnaby South Secondary and hosted an information session to let prospective students know more about the program.
Please tell us why you chose the Faculty of Education at SFU for your studies.
I chose the Faculty of Education at SFU because I wanted to work with the best and brightest minds involved in education.
Who is a faculty member you have enjoyed working with and why?
Most recently, Marlowe Irvine. He makes me think and he makes me work and he makes me wonder. Best of all, he inspires me to be better and to never give up.
What inspires you to learn and continue your education?
Learning is the most important thing anyone can do. I work with young people and I am involved with helping them make their brains grow and develop. This is not brain surgery but it is pretty close.
What would you say to prospective students who are considering graduate school in the Faculty of Education?
Do it. Do it sooner rather than later. But do it.
Is there anything else you wish to share?
SFU is fabulous!
