SFU Faculty of Education professor and researcher Lucy LeMare was cited in newspapers across Canada on the advent of a survey that will be going out to Romanian orphans adopted by Canadians who are part of SFU's Romanian Adoption Project.

This longitudinal study has been following the children's development since they arrived in this country more than 20 years ago. The aim of this survey is to gather information on what helped and what hindered the orphans' abilities to cope with the early trauma they faced as infants or as young children.
