Michael Pruner, an SFU Mathematics Education masters students, President of BCAMT and Mathematics Teacher at Argyle Secondary in North Vancouver, was interviewed by CBC Radio on teaching students math through Inquiry or Problem based approach.

“The idea is to teach concepts of math in a way that allows kids to make sense of the work they are doing.”

“The approach allows students to have more fun, enjoy math and feel more comfortable with math, more so than perhaps the more traditional approach of teaching and learning."

You can listen to the CBC News Radio interview with Michael Pruner below. The interview and math discussion starts at 1:00:50.
