I feel very at home in Education courses that make me think about my teaching methods, and how we learn.
I'm curently in the Bachelor of General Studies in Education progam working towards being an elementary school teacher, but my background is mostly in experiential education (outdoors in particular).
I find that when I teach, I learn more myself. I feel very at home in Education courses that make me think about my teaching methods, and how we learn.
What Am I Doing Now?
A year and a half after graduating BGS, I am now also a graduate of PDP at SFU. I spent the last few months doing my practicum in a grade 6/7 class, and have graduated with a degree in Education and a minor in Environmental Education. I am set up to start working in North Vancouver as a TTOC very soon.
