OUR MISSION
Our mission at Simon Fraser University is to provide training to produce qualified teachers to meet the growing demands of the various French programs offered in the province. Workshops and programs are also available in French to support French teachers already in service.
The Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs (OFFA), inaugurated in 2004, is jointly funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage and the BC Ministry of Education. Its mission is to develop, coordinate and promote programs and courses taught in French at Simon Fraser University in order to meet the post-secondary education needs of Francophone and Francophile communities in BC. OFFA also organizes cultural activities designed to promote the value of French both on and off campus.
