
Admission to the PDP French module
ARE YOU ELIGIBLE TO APPLY TO THE FRENCH MODULE?
Questions for elementary applicants:
1. Will you have 76 credits complete and acceptable for credit at SFU prior to beginning the program?
2. Will you have completed all prerequisite courses prior to beginning the program?
If you answer no to any of the above questions you are ineligible to apply.
Questions for secondary applicants:
1. Have you completed or will you complete 6 credits of English (minimum of 3 credits in English literature) or 6 credits of French (literature and composition) prior to beginning the program?
2. Will you have a 4 year degree complete with a teachable major or two teachable minors prior to beginning the program?
If you answer no to any of the above questions you are ineligible to apply.
In addition to the academic requirements, applicants to the French Module must demonstrate the appropriate level of French language competency. Applicants must take the French Language Appraisal.

Generally available in November for the next September intake and in February or March for the next January intake.
The online application is currently open for the January 2013 intake.
APPLICATION AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS
Your application must include these supporting documents:
- written assignment
- resume (instructional and non-instructional work experience) -
PDP applicants are encouraged to have related experience working with children - transcripts (post-secondary)
- reference letters
You must take a French Language Appraisal (FLA).

Tuition and fees (suBject to change)
The cost is approximately $8,200 for the year (includes fees for student services, activities, U-pass, recreation and education materiel costs) plus books. Details.

Ministry of Education
The ministry offers bursaries of up to $1,500 for French teachers in training.
