FOE Minor in French Education

Bachelor of education as a second degree

The Bachelor of Education as a Second Degree is available only to PDP (Professional Development Program) students who have completed a degree (in another Faculty) prior to entry to the program.

Conditions:

  • must have already completed a bachelor's degree
  • must be admitted to PDP
  • must complete a minor from the Faculty of Education
    (a minor in French education, for example)

  • EDUC 480  Designs for Learning: French as a Second Language
  • EDUC 481  Designs for Learning: French Immersion Programs and Francophone Schools


TWO or THREE
of the following courses:

  • EDUC 414  Designs for Learning: Secondary Social Studies
  • EDUC 415  Designs for Learning: Secondary Mathematics
  • EDUC 416  Designs for Learning: Secondary Science
  • EDUC 454  Measure/Evaluation Enviro Education
  • EDUC 474  Designs for Learning: Elementary Social Studie
  • EDUC 475  Designs for Learning: Elementary Mathematics
  • EDUC 476  Designs for Learning: Elementary Science


Courses intended primarily for PdP French Module students and in-service teachers

EDUC 450 Classroom French Curriculum Studies
This course
is offered as additional support to students in the PFP French Module.  It may be required as a condition for admission to the module. This course is also ideal for in-service teachers interested in developing their ability to integrate French language and culture into productive and interesting language learning activities.  It is scheduled at the end of the afternoon and can be taken at the same time as EDUC 401/402.
