We provide opportunities for international and local ESL students to develop their individual learning strategies, language abilities, and cultural understanding in a safe but challenging setting. We are committed to providing a comprehensive student-centred learning environment designed to promote communication, diversity, critical thinking, and self-awareness.
Instructors at ELC are experienced and highly qualified. They take the time to diagnose their students’ needs and design a curriculum based on that information. Materials are authentic, meaning they are based on real-world situations, news, and text. Students leave the program with not only an enhanced understanding of Canadian culture, but also skills that will allow them to carry on their education outside of the classroom.
