“We want to see science accessible for all, but we know that Black and Indigenous students aspiring to be academic scientists have, historically and in the present, faced structural barriers and biases." The Indigenous and Black Graduate Scholarship in Biology was launched to help SFU take one step toward building a more racially equitable and inclusive biological sciences department.

Thanks to the immense generosity of donors and friends like you, SFU’s 2023 year-end giving campaign yielded a monumental $143,923 this past December. A heartfelt thank you to SFU’s incredible donor community who truly made a difference in the lives of our students!
