Graduate and Post-Doctoral Studies Awards

The 2019 SFU Graduate and Post-Doctoral Studies Awards (GPS) honoured English graduate students who are Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) grant recipients or BC Graduate Scholarship winners. SSHRC recipients (pictured on the left) included: Mackenzie Ground, Rachel Bodnariuc, Connor Cullen, and Rawia Inaim. BC Graduate Scholarship winners (pictured on the right) were: Scott Russell and Kevin Spenst. Professor Clint Burnham, Graduate Program Chair, (pictured center) helped students prepare their SSHRC grant submissions.

Professor Peter Dickinson also received the Dean's Award for Excellent in Supervision at the GPS Awards Reception. The award was presented by Jeff Derksen, Dean of Graduate Studies. The award is given annually and recognizes excellence in the supervision of graduate students, with nominations from current or former students, staff, colleagues, or administrators.
