SFU English hosted a Glow-in-the-dark Bowling Extravaganza at Grandview Lanes on Commercial Drive last Friday, May 19th. Co-organized by graduate chair Dr. Michelle Levy and PhD student Taylor Morphett, the event featured faculty, students, and staff.

Notable performances were made by MA student Audrey MacTavish, who racked-up an alarming number of strikes despite, "not having bowled in a long time." PhD student Kelsey Blair also crushed the field with her uncanny ability to master the unfamiliar. Christa Gruninger was the best of the staff members in attendance, exhibiting a seasoned display of bowling brilliance.

Professor and Chair Paul Budra also wowed attendees with his ability to make several foul throws. "I like pushing things to the edge," Paul didn't quip.

Social events such as these help to take the edge off the stresses of academia, and are always most welcome by members of the department. Stay tuned for future events open to all faculty, staff, and students!
