Congratulations to Simon Fraser University (SFU) for being the second school in Canada to become a Fair Trade Campus! The school's three Vancouver-area campuses earned the status because they sell and actively promote Fair Trade-certified coffee and tea, and the University is working with the Simon Fraser Student Society (SFSS) to highlight Fair Trade products.

SFU students did a lot to push for Fair Trade campus status, dressing as superheroes and parading across campus in March of last year to convince SFU president Andrew Petter of the importance of the designation. They seem to have won him over by giving him a superhero cape of his own.
