Fair Trade 2018 Origin Trip Applications Open!

Always wanted to travel to South America? Interested in human rights and sustainability? Currently studying at SFU with at least one more semester left? Then you might want to forget about school for the next hour and fill out an application to be one of two SFU student participants on the Fair Trade Origin Trip to Peru!

For the third year in a row, SFU leads the way as a Fair Trade Campus by sending two students to the upcoming Origin Trip to Peru. Organized by the Canadian Fair Trade Network, the two selected students will be visiting Fairtrade-certified cooperatives and talking to farmers about their experiences producing and selling Fairtrade products. The trip will be from November 9 to November 18.

Applications to participate are now open to all SFU students. Fill out an application online here to be considered.

Requirements:

-        Currently be a student at SFU pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree

-        Have at least one semester left after this one

-        Interest in learning more about Fair Trade and helping promote it on campus

-        Available to travel between November 9th and 18th
