Technovation BC Pitch Competition Judge Information

At the conclusion of the Technovation season, we hold a pitch and celebration event for all the teams across British Columbia. Each team prepares a 4 minute pitch presentation followed by a demo of their app and presents to a panel of judges and audience. Judges have the important job of providing constructive feedback to the teams and ultimately scoring the team in the areas of Ideation, Technical, Pitch, Entrepreneurship, and Overall Impression. The top teams from our BC Regional Pitch Competition move on to the international semi-finals.

Judge Requirements

  • At least 19 years old
  • Able to attend the Technovation BC Pitch Event in person (May 11 for the 2019 season)
  • Cannot be a mentor for any team in the competition
  • Complete the online self-paced orientation training (30 minutes)

You do not need coding or app development experience to be a Technovation judge. We especially encourage people with backgrounds in tech, business, or entrepreneurship as this is very valuable experience to provide teams with feedback.
