Outstanding leadership skills and a passion for serving the community have earned Raaj Chatterjee, a first-year School of Mechatronic Systems Engineering student, an $80,000 scholarship from the Seymour Schulich Foundation.

Chatterjee is passionate about sustainability and hopes one day to work in renewable energy or electric car design. He has already made a positive impact on the community by spearheading a composting initiative at his high school and, together with his family, providing a biweekly homemade food delivery program for North Surrey’s homeless.
