Established in 2006, the $3million Jack and Doris Shadbolt Fellowship in the Humanities allows writers and artists, who may or may not be part of the academy, to reside and work within SFU’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in the role of a Shadbolt Fellow.

The Jack & Nancy Farley Distinguished Visiting Scholar in History is housed in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and is dedicated to the teaching of history, which is understood to include studies of the past, including the recent past, carried out within the departments and programs of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
